Volunteer

VOLUNTEERING.  IT BRINGS OUT THE BEST.

So you want to volunteer with Sea Island Habitat for Humanity? Great choice! Sea Island Habitat for Humanity believes that volunteers are the backbone of our ministry. Hundreds of families would not be living in decent housing if it weren’t for you.

Volunteers are always needed and appreciated! We ask that all interested volunteers contact our Volunteer Coordinator before coming to any job site.

Our volunteers are asked to sign a Release and Waiver of Liability which they need to bring with them on their first day of volunteering, review and sign our Code of Conduct, and abide by the Age and Ability Guidelines.

The final step is to complete the online safety assessment. A link and instructions are found here. This tool will generate a certificate of completion that we will need to have prior to your first day volunteering.

Sea Island Habitat’s CRITICAL volunteer needs currently are:

  • Weekday Construction Volunteers (Tuesday – Friday, 8am to 12pm and 1pm to 4pm)
  • Habitat’s ReStore Store Workers (Monday – Saturday, 9am to 1pm and 1pm to 5pm)
  • “On-Call” Deconstruction Volunteers (people to help with one-day projects with only a few days notice

We also need volunteers for:

We welcome volunteers every Tuesday through Saturday, 8am to 12pm and 1pm to 4pm. To do this, contact our Director of Volunteer Services. Please see the links below for additional information.

Please contact the  Director of Volunteer Services to find out when our homes will be at the right stage for your work.
