Our Partner Families are low-income working families in our community. They are required to make a down-payment, contribute 500 hours of “sweat equity” and pay for their home through a 30-year, zero-interest mortgage. They come from all walks of life and through Sea Island Habitat for Humanity, will become first-time homeowners. Sea Island Habitat also partners with the Habitat affiliates in Ghana, Africa and in Paraguay to help build homes overseas. 10% of all unrestricted donations to SIHH are “tithed” to these affiliates. Through this program, we’ve funded about 300 homes in these developing countries Read Our Annual Report Look here!!!We have recently completed our sixth habitat home in Joeva Cove! The new architectural plans were created A big thank you to our volunteers, donors, and staff who helped to make the dream of homeownership come true for these two deserving families
