Our Fundraising Goals- Each year, Sea Island Habitat for Humanity relies on donors to provide its financial support.   Sea Island Habitat for Humanity has set a goal, God willing, of building 30 homes in 2008.  At a cost of $55,000 for construction materials per home – Sea Island Habitat must raise $1,200,000 for building materials and infrastructure - here is how you can help:

Whole House Sponsorship –As a whole house donor, you are able to fully fund the construction of a new home for a deserving family - $50,000.  See our current Whole House Donors.

Adopt A Lot  - Allows individuals and corporations an opportunity to become a “friend” of Sea Island Habitat for Humanity by “adopting a lot” at a cost of $5,000.   The money helps offset the total cost of an improved lot (ready to build on).   See our current Adoptees.

Carpenters Club (Carpenter, Builder, Master Builder)- Gives Sea Island Habitat an opportunity to build more homes, because your  quarterly contribution is based on the number of houses that we complete. 

In-Kind Donor – If you are a part of a corporation that may be able to donate in-kind supplies (building materials, administrative services, computers, etc.), this type of donation is just as needed as monetary donations.    

Land Gifting – Land is a key component in our mission to eliminate poverty housing on the Islands of Johns and Wadmalaw.  We are constantly looking for generous donors who would be willing to gift land for a new Habitat home or neighborhood.  If you are interested in becoming a land donor, please contact our offices.+

Planned Giving – Sea Island Habitat for Humanity welcomes donors who are willing to donate planned gifts.  What are planned gifts?  A planned gift refers to charitable gifts that require planning before they are made.  Some benefits of planned giving are increased income for the donor or others, reduction of the donor’s income taxes, avoidance of capital gains taxes, and the provision of asset management for your heirs. 

WAYS TO GIVE:  
Bequests:  You can name Sea Island Habitat for Humanity, Inc. as a beneficiary in your will.
Gift of Life Insurance:  Donate unneeded life insurance policies to Sea Island Habitat.
Real Estate:  You can transfer real estate titles to Sea Island Habitat.
Gifts of Securities:  You can transfer ownership of stock, or mutual funds to Sea Island Habitat.
Gift Annuities:  You can transfer a gift of cash, securities or property to Sea Island Habitat.  You will receive an income tax deduction, possible capital gains savings, and a fixed payment.
