Join us October 2008 to build a new home for a
wonderful family
Bishop Gadsden is participating in Sea Island Habitat’s 30th
anniversary in a big way by sponsoring a whole house. This will
provide a home for a family currently living in substandard
housing. Fundraising $55,000 for a house is not an easy task but
Bishop Gadsden residents and staff are up to the challenge.
Ranada Rivers is mother to Corey age 4 and Megan age 1. Ranada
works at MUSC and is ready for her family to have their own
space. Currently, they are living with her parents and her
children sleep in the same bed as her. Ranada has volunteered
with SIHH before on other build projects and is excited to build
her own home this fall.
Please take time to view the inspirational pictures of Bishop
Gadsden residents working on a home they sponsored in 2000. You
can get involved in the 2008 build by making a donation,
volunteering, and/or attending the Oyster Roast sponsored by
Bishop Gadsden (information below).
